FRCS advises all businesses and taxpayers that the accreditation of the INSPUR External Sales Data Controller (E-SDC) device under the Tax Administration (Electronic Fiscal Device) Regulations 2017 has been revoked with immediate effect due to non-compliance with technical and operational guidelines.
The INSPUR device is unable to recognize the new Certificate Authority (CA) embedded in updated smart cards, resulting in operational issues for Point-of-Sale (POS) users/businesses utilizing the technology.
Key Compliance Requirements:
- Sales and distribution of INSPUR E-SDC devices will no longer take place under the FRCS VMS framework with immediate effect.
- All INSPUR devices currently in use must be decommissioned by 31 December 2025.
- Businesses using these devices must transition to alternative accredited solutions before the deadline.
- POS/SDC Suppliers are advised to notify affected clients and support for the transition to alternative solutions.
