Updating of Business Registration Information
Fiji Citizens, resident or any individual or non-individual with financial or business interest, can operate a business in Fiji, and every individual or firm carrying on a business under a business name, whether sole trader, partnership or company must first register at the Registrar of Companies (ROC) office. There are also individuals who operate businesses without a business name i.e with their own natural names e.g landlord, taxi, consultancy etc. In all forms of business, with or without business name, it is compulsory to have it registered for tax purposes.
How to register on Taxpayer Online Service (TPOS)?
For Individuals, the process is to login first into TPOS portal and then apply for sole trader registration. Refer to the guide Click here. Non- individuals, after being registered with ROC, process is to sign up as new taxpayer so that a new and separate TIN can be issued for the entity, and can refer to the guide for new sign up.
What documents are required for registering a business TIN on TPOS?

Is there a fee charged for business registration?
Applicants will not be required to pay fees for registration on TPOS.
What are the next steps after this?
After successful registration for tax purposes, you can furnish the TIN Letter to the bank and other institutions who require it. For non-citizens they can proceed to Immigration to apply for Investor permit.
