Tax Compliance Certificate

TCC is a certificate of compliance issued to a person as proof that the person is compliant with the filing  and payment of taxes in accordance with the relevant tax laws. A TCC is required by law when a person applies for any registration, permit or license from any Government ministry or entity. The issue date of a TCC will be the date on which the taxpayer requested for the TCC. It will be valid until 31st December of that year, irrespective of the date on which it is issued. If the taxpayer has ongoing Time To Pay Arrangements (TTPA) the certificate will be valid for 3 months from the date of issuance or 31st December of that year, whichever comes earlier.

Outlined below are steps on applying TCC on the Taxpayer Online Service (TPOS):

  1. Click here for TPOS login.
  2. Login with your credentials i.e. your username and password. If you haven’t signed up for TPOS then you need to get your One Time Log in Code from our office and Sign Up.
  3. Click on Request tile.
  4. Select Certificates and click on “Request on Tax Compliance Certificate.
  5. Read Instruction and Tick on declaration.
  6. Select reason for Request from dropdown.
  7. Enter the name of the Government Department or Entity.
  8. Declare and submit your application.

Note:

  • That after submission of the application, a message will appear advising you of your reference number that your application has been successfully submitted.

Verification of the authenticity of a TCC

The TCC can be validated on the TPOS here.

The user will be required to enter the ‘TCC Reference Number’ and the ‘Date of Issue’ in order to validate the certificate.
