Implementation of New VAT Tax Label “G” Effective 1 August 2025

The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS) wishes to inform all Point of Sale (POS) and Sales Data Controller (SDC) developers and vendors that, in accordance with the 2025–2026 National Budget announcements, a new VAT Tax Label “G” reflecting a 12.5% VAT rate is to be introduced.

This new tax label will come into effect on 1 August 2025, and must be incorporated into all POS and SDC systems accordingly.

All developers are required to update their systems to ensure compliance with this change. Please note that failure to implement the new tax label may result in penalties under the Tax Administration Act.
