FRCS advises members of the public who intend to convert a goods vehicle for passenger use to follow the steps below. Approval is not automatic and is subject to the vehicle meeting all qualifying criteria and payment of the duty assessed by FRCS.
WHAT YOU MUST DO
1 Check Vehicle Age Confirm the year of manufacture | 2 Confirm LTA Eligibility The vehicle must qualify for passenger registration | 3 Submit Details to FRCS Provide Vehicle and import information | 4 Pay Duty & Get Approval Pay the Assessed Duty before modification |

| NO APPROVAL VEHICLES THAT EXCEED THE APPLICABLE AGE LIMIT WILL NOT BE APPROVED FOR CONVERSION. Vehicles that qualify will only be approved after the full amount of duty assessed by FRCS has been paid |
