There has been a clear upward trend in FRCS tax revenue following the COVID-19 pandemic period. After experiencing a significant decline from FY 2018/2019 to FY 2020/2021, largely due to the economic impact of the pandemic, revenue figures began to recover in FY 2021/2022 and have continued to improve steadily.
Actual collections rose from FJD $1.47 billion in 2020/2021 to FJD $3.03 billion in 2023/2024, reflecting strong economic recovery and improved compliance. The forecast for 2024/2025 projects further growth of 8.7%, with revenue expected to reach FJD $3.29 billion, reinforcing the positive post-COVID fiscal trajectory.
