Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)

Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) is a taxpayer’s personal reference number issued by the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS). It is compulsory for all Fiji Citizens to have a TIN.

  • Update your information e.g. your bank account details, contact etc.
If I lose my TIN letter, how can I get a replacement?

You can always access your TIN letter from the Taxpayer Online Service (TPOS). The steps are as follows: – Logon on TPOS via this link- https://tpos.frcs.org.fj/taxpayerportal/#/Logon

  • Click on the Request tile, select TIN letter and download it.

What should I Do if I have a TIN and need a JOINT ID Card?

JOINT ID Card is issued to Fiji citizen or resident above 18 years of age. These cards can be obtained from FRCS or the Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF). Existing taxpayers who already have a TIN, and need a JOINT ID CARD can apply for the JOINT ID Card on the Taxpayer Online Service (TPOS). For more information. What documents are required for applying for a JOINT ID Card?
  • Full extract of original or certified birth certificate (Fiji) post year 2000
  • Valid photo ID of the applicant
  • If you do not have a valid ID – attach a recent passport size photo (certified by Justice of Peace (JP) or Commissioner of Oath, Solicitor), Ensure that the passport sized photo is clear and taken against a white background. Submitted photos should not have the applicant’s wearing hats, caps or any sort of head gear or eye or sunglasses, large earrings, and their face should not be obscured.
  • Original marriage certificate (for spouse opting to use married name on joint ID card)
Is there a fee charged for JOINT ID card?

Applicants will not be required to pay fees for first issuance and renewal of expired JOINT ID Cards. However, a $20 fee will be charged for replacement (stolen/damaged etc.) of the JOINT ID Card.
