FRCS Begins Recruitment of Additional Staff

The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS) has begun recruitment of the first batch of the approximately 100 additional staff that was announced by the FRCS CEO Mr. Mark Dixon last week.

The first batch of recruitment includes 15 roles comprising 39 positions from various Divisions in FRCS including Taxation, Customs, Intelligence, Compliance and Investigations (ICI), Corporate, Finance and People Capability and Culture (PCC).

At this stage, the advertised vacancies are limited to the internal staff and employees who had exited FRCS in 2020 and 2021 due to redundancy and non-renewal of contracts. However, if these positions remain unfilled, FRCS will seek to recruit for these roles externally.

According to Mr. Dixon, approximately 100 additional staff will cater for the growing number of taxpayers and will enhance the efficiency of the services provided by the Service. During the restructure, the Service had reduced its workforce from approximately 870 employees to 570 staff.

Mr. Dixon has encouraged those staff who were made redundant or whose contracts were not renewed to apply for the positions advertised. Advertisements for the first batch of recruitment close on 5th May 2023 while the second batch is expected to be advertised in June 2023.

He added that these staff can contact our PCC Team for more information or assistance or visit our website on this Link.
